A Little About Me
I'm mum to D, 6 and J, 2. We live right on the coast, and I love writing, reading, and being out on the beach.
A Little About My Business
I write books and run a PR business. My latest book is Family Friendly Working (www.familyfriendlyworking.co.uk), for mums and dads who are looking for family friendly business ideas and info on flexible working rights. I have written a book for mumpreneurs about business promotion, A Guide to Promoting Your Business, which has a useful website full of free PR and business resources to accompany it, www.prbasics.co.uk.
For individual help to do your own PR, check me out at ACPR, www.acpr.co.uk. I started ACPR in 2003 after my daughter was born, and discovered the jov of working for myself - which has really led to the books too.

Getting back to work - tips and advice for mums

There are several things a mother can do to help get back to work. Gillian Nissim of WorkingMums.co.uk suggests: Ø Find out what your rights are by looking online, and talk to friends who have requested flexible working Ø Research your company’s policy on flexible working and find out the experience of others who have applied for it Ø Before you go on maternity leave, work out the contact level and regularity you would like to maintain with your employer. Ask for things that would help make y… Continue

WAHMs (Work at Home Mums) GET BOOST FROM NEW TAX ALLOWANCES

1,400 home businesses are started every week in the UK and ‘mum’ businesses contribute an estimated £4.4billion to the economy, and now HMRC are putting their weight behind the growing trend, with new tax breaks for people working at home. Hi Antonia
My name is Lyndsey, I have a product that I have designed, developed and now had produced which I want to market to the mother/toddler/green market. I would like to the product featured in a mother/toddler magazine and Nikki suggested you may be able to help. Count On It™ is an easy to use, food freshness label which takes the guesswork out of freshness at a glance, to help consumers make the most of the food they buy and waste less of it.
Count On It tracks how long food has been opened, so consumers are able to enjoy all of the product, secure in the knowledge that it is still fresh and safe to eat and subsequently reducing the amount of edible food which could have been thrown away. Food waste and safety is such a current topic which I need to capitilise, so any help or suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated, for more information visit www.count-on-it.co.uk. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Lyndsey

Hi Antonia,

Welcome! I love the beach also, there's nothing more relaxing than sitting on the beach looking at the water and listening to the waves.

I just noticed you were in Bexhill - my mum lives in Eastbourne - so not far from you at all! :-)
I'm closer to Brighton myself - it's so nice to be near the coast but would rather live on it than near it!

Back to Basics in Online Marketing
